The CBD market has grown quickly in the past few years. This has led to a proliferation in CBD startups, which have presented consumers with more choices than answers. What makes CBD high quality? Where does my CBD come from? Who should I trust? We worked with the founders at Permahill Farms to help them differentiate their product and develop a clear voice in a cluttered industry.
Unlike much of the CBD market, Permahill Farms grow and process their own product. Seeing production through from seed to oil and adhering to a stringent manufacturing process gives them control over the quality of their CBD. But in an emerging industry, it’s not always apparent to the consumer what markers of quality are. Through a language workshop, we helped capture the particular principles that guide their work in a set of brand language. Then, we applied the new verbal and visual identity to a packaging design system that reflects their high standards. The end result is a brand identity that prioritizes clarity, transparency, and accessibility to information. That empowers the consumer.
